Rules for the Adena Recreational Trail

Motorized Vehicles are Prohibited.
This includes cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATV's

Be Cautious of Natural Hazards.
Watch out for animals, poison ivy, rocks, tree limbs and other debris on the trail.

Keep an eye on your children.

Stay on Trail.
Please respect all adjacent properties next to the trail.


Be Courteous
All trail users, including bicyclists, joggers, walkers, should be respectful of other users regardless of their mode of travel, speed or skill level.


Yield when crossing roads and driveways
The trail does cross roads and driveways. This is often the most dangerous point on the trail.

Keep Right
Stay as near to the right side of the trail as is safe, except when passing another user. If you must pass another user going the same direction as you, pass on their left. Fast moving users are responsible for yielding to slower moving users.

Do Not Block The Trail
When with your pet or in a group, use no more than half of the trail. Do not be a trail hog.


No Alcohol or Drugs allowed.

Clean up Litter.
Do not leave glass, paper, cans, or any other debris along the trail. If you drop something please pick it up and carry it until you find a litter receptacle.

No Hunting.
